Fintech Automation

Three governed agents currently in build across accounts payable, AR and collections. Each one is scoped the way I scope any finance system: the work the agent may do autonomously, the control that stays human, and the two or three measures that will decide whether it earned its place.

Target windows below are build milestones, not launch promises. This page updates as each one goes live.

Accounts payable Target Q1 2027

Autonomous three-way match and PO anomaly detection

Matches invoice to purchase order and receipt, posts in-tolerance items, and classifies exceptions by anomaly type — including split purchase orders designed to evade an approval threshold.

Control
Out-of-tolerance items require named human approval. Payment release is never automated.

Measures
Cost per invoice · touchless rate
Platforms
Zip · NetSuite · Boomi
Accounts payable Target Q2 2027

Vendor inquiry and payment status agent

Handles the tier-one vendor question volume: was my invoice received, what is the approval status, when is payment scheduled. Escalates anything outside the standard set.

Control
Banking detail changes are categorically excluded — human only, dual-authorised, verified out of band.

Measures
Inquiries reaching a human · AP hours reclaimed
Platforms
Zip · NetSuite · email channel
AR, billing and collections Target Q3 2027

Dynamic collections risk scoring and dunning agent

Scores receivables on payment history, ageing trajectory, contract value and renewal proximity, then differentiates outreach instead of applying one dunning cadence to everyone.

Measures
DSO · ageing over 60 days
Platforms
NetSuite · Zone Billing · Stripe · CPQ
